SuperBrain Yoga (SBY) and Pranic Healing are energy interventions initially researched and standardized by a scientist named Master Choa Kok Sui. SBY is a simple yogic exercise which energizes the brain. Pranic Healing is effective in balancing subtle energies as they relate to the physical body.
Yogic exercise and breathing practices have been found to produce positive outcomes with attention disorders in ADHD/ADD, (Jensen and Kenny, 2004; Peck et al 2004) and in young children with behavioral difficulties (Powell, et. al. 2008).
Research will be presented using SuperBrain Yoga technique with at-risk middle school students (Mendoza and Siar, 2005) and case studies of children with neurodevelopment disabilities (Mendoza and Koterba, 2005). Case studies by Mendoza and Koterba involved children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Dyslexia and ADD/ADHD between the ages of 5 and 18 years of age who performed SuperBrain Yoga over a period of one year. Utilizing a standardized battery of tests, including the DTVP-2, significant improvements were measured in visual motor speed, eye-hand coordination, social skills and interaction, and increased self-control.
Additional case studies will be shared which support the use of Pranic Healing with children diagnosed with ASD who improved sleep patterns and self abusive behaviors.
This ancient yogic science activates the higher energy centers and energizes the brain and nervous system. By practicing these techniques which provides the “energy fuel” to keep our brain fit and functional, both psychological ailments and/or brain and nervous system ailments can be alleviated, from memory loss, Alzheimers, ADD, ADHD, autism and other learning disabilities. SuperBrain Yoga has been proven to increase mental focus, less negative behaviors, improves social skills, overall calmness and increased brain power.
